OFFICIAL NWS COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
NWS
OFFICIAL MARINE FORECAST
NOAA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE · COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
ISSUED
Sat, Mar 7, 05:34 PM UTC
SYNOPSIS

Over the next several days, the coastal waters will be under the influence of a subtropical ridge of high pressure anchored over the Southwest Atlantic. The main concern will be sea fog, dense at times, through early next week due to the warm and moist air mass over the winter-chilled waters. The ridge maintains southeast winds around 10 to 15 knots through Wednesday, which will maximize in the seabreeze zone each day. Winds, seas, and rain chances will increase out of the south ahead of the next cold front during the middle to latter part of the week.

PERIOD FORECAST
REST OF TODAY

Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 3 feet. Wave Detail: South 3 feet at 6 seconds. Protected waters a light chop. Patchy fog.

TONIGHT

Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 3 feet in the evening, then 1 foot or less. Wave Detail: South 2 feet at 6 seconds. Protected waters a light chop. Areas of dense fog.

SUNDAY
